World of Dance DV “La Curiosidad” Reaches Milestones
World of Dance Records aims to bridge music and dance industries together. World of Dance DV is a new competition format created for this purpose. The new dance visual competition focuses on both the dancing and production value of each video submitted. The judging criteria allows dancers to express themselves through cinematography, editing, remixing, lighting, and concepts along with their world class dance moves.
World of Dance DV offers an innovative and accessible way to compete via virtual competitions while many events are suspended due to the pandemic. The online format makes it easier for dancers to control their content and share their unique vision digitally, and to our worldwide audience.
The last World of Dance DV featured the track “La Curiosidad” by one of today’s hottest reggaetón artists, Jay Wheeler. Over 100 submissions were submitted through Tik Tok, Instagram, and YouTube. Dancers from over 36 different countries around the globe participated in the La Curiosidad World of Dance DV Competition. As a result of videos submitted, the Jay Wheeler WOD DV campaign has already garnered over 3.4 million views and over 300,000 likes in the first 2 weeks. Viewers have stayed engaged with the content as well, with over 8,000 comments. There is no question that World of Dance DV will continue to grow in years to come.
