What’s currently on your dance/fitness playlist?

LH: Currently on my dance fitness playlist is a wide selection of songs that I am inspired to dance to. Songs that I associate with a memory, that keeps me motivated, or just really good songs for jamming out to.

Honey – 070 Shake, Ralph River, Hack & Tree

Like A Girl – Lizzo

Flashing Lights – Kanye West

i – Kendrick Lamar

Peaches N Cream – Snoop Dogg, Charlie Wilson

Love on Top – Beyonce

3005 – Childish Gambino

RH: My dance fitness playlist is filled with all different types of music. Some of my favorites include:

Talk – Khalid

Sweet Life – Frank Ocean

Love on Top – Beyoncé

Peaches n Cream – Snoop Dog

Motion – Emotional Oranges!

What kind of music do you like to work out to?

LH: When I workout I like to listen to music that either has a great beat that can help me get through the workout, or has lyrics that have a deeper meaning that help me push through as well. I don’t have one specific genre that I listen to, its just whatever speaks to the soul. Anything Kanye will do!

RH: I love to work out to music that will pump me up and get me motivated to work my body and stay in shape. These range anywhere from pop, rap, indie, and so much more!

What is your go to “happy” song or band?

LH: My go to “happy” song would have to be Pursuit of Happiness by Kid Cudi because it has a connection to my brother who first introduced me to this song. The over all message of striving towards happiness and inner peace is always a good reminder to have, especially when it feels like the light at the end of the tunnel is getting harder to see.
RH: My go to song is definitely Sunflower by Post Malone because it puts me in a good mood and motivates me to work hard, everyone needs a song like this!

Do you sing or play a musical instrument?

LH: I do not sing. However, I am itching to get into singing lessons and have a few contacts who can help me on my journey. As for a musical instrument, in middle school I participated in the school’s band and was a percussionist- which paired well with my tap dancing! I always considered my tap shoes as an instrument since tap dancing is not just a dance form, but is also able to create the music that you hear.
